Happy almost Friday my loves!
So thanks to a fellow beauty blogger from Beauty Without A Boundary (check out her blog!) I learnt that Beauty Blender is releasing a new product called the Liner Designer. Anything Beauty Blender does is pretty big news. After all, I never thought I’d willingly spend $28CAD on a sponge until the Beauty Blender turned me into a dewy angel.
Bloggers and magazines are calling this product “genius” and “a game changer”. The Liner Designer is a new product meant to help create liquid eyeliner looks, as well as help with lining the lips and preventing mascara from getting on the eyelids. It can be wet and stuck onto the skin to be a hands-free tool in liner application. It’s going to be $16US and is set to be released this spring.
After the Blotterazzi catastrophe I’m skeptical about this one. Remember? The $20 oil-blotting sponge that didn’t blot much oil? Let’s also not forget about the Micro-Mini Beauty Blender…for blending foundation on infants.

Now I love the Beauty Blender, but I instantly scoffed when I saw this was coming out. Everything they have released since the original Beauty Blender has been pretty gimmicky. Anyone struggling with a cat-eye could cut out curves from a piece of cardboard or do the tape method for free. Are people really going to buy this?
I understand that not everyone is a winged-liner connoisseur, but the people who are going to buy a Beauty Blender vs. a drugstore sponge are usually makeup enthusiasts who are pretty damn acquainted with doing their own makeup and doing it well. Basically, if you’re somewhat competent in doing your own makeup, you don’t need this product.
I’m gonna take a back seat on this one and let my favourite Youtube gurus hash it out when this is released. Are you guys excited for this product? Let me know in the comments, I won’t bite.
