2. The key to getting professional results is simple: prep, prep and more prep!
We’ve all heard the phrase “prepping”. In the beauty industry, we say prep up your eyeliner application tool. And while it is true that the makeup application tool is the one you use to apply your eyeliner, there is a lot more involved in making sure it performs beautifully and consistently than simply using a product.
Without a doubt, the most important part of getting professional results with makeup is actually prepping, prep and more prep. This includes:
• Preparation for professional results: don’t make sweeping changes in your makeup routine that you can do only once; keep your tools in good shape and make sure they are clean as well as organized
• Prep: always have clean tools and be prepared to wipe down your makeup tools after each use to avoid bacteria which can be transferred from them to your eyes
• Cleanliness: keep makeup tools clean by never putting them directly in water (use a sink and rinse off after each use); wipe down with a wash cloth if necessary
• Organization: this means keeping everything organized and keep color swatches with notes about each shade so you know what color you need for various application methods (we recommend printing these out) or keeping them on hand at all times when not in use
It’s worth distinguishing between cosmetics – specifically eyeliner – products and makeup itself – an item of clothing, accessories or personal grooming. When talking about cosmetics, we mean those items which are used for beauty purposes such as make-up, foundation and mascara; this includes skincare products like moisturizers/moisturizing creams/gels/lotion etc. Sometimes these products may also be referred to simply as cosmetics – skincare products can fall into this category too but generally speaking they aren’t used for beauty purposes (e.g.: they are used on their own).
When talking about makeup, we mean any item of clothing or accessories worn (in addition) to look good on top of other clothes (usually worn underneath another pair of clothes); this includes dresses/skirts etc., hats etc., jewelry etc., jewellery– necklaces / earrings / bracelets etc., footwear like sandals / sneakers / boots etc. Sometimes these items may also be referred to simply as clothing – dresses / skirts etc.; however generally speaking they aren’t worn over other clothes (e.g.: tops / bottoms). We
3. You’ll want to start by finding the angle that works best for you!
Beauty Blender? Yes, that’s what I see. But not just any beauty blender makeup application tool; a beauty blender eyeliner application tool.
On one hand, the market for this kind of thing is small and it does seem like there are several existing products: beauty blenders for makeup and other beauty products, as well as makeup and hair tools. On the other hand, there are many of us who have been inspired by these tools (and yes, our own personal beauty blender), and there are many of us who know they could be better…
Our goal: to make an aesthetically pleasing, easy to use product which is also very useful. Our target markets are the type who love pretty things but can’t afford anything that a real beauty blender costs. So we’re working on making this beautiful, easy-to-use tool that won’t break the bank and can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to look nice without spending too much money.
Most people reading this will probably be familiar with some sort of beauty blender: my own Beauty Blender was a waste of money which was actually really messy because it was so wide (the wider you go with your hands the more mess you make) but it did make me look like I had a lot of makeup on because it blended everything so nicely together. I also made my eyes look puffy (with no eye shadow) because I didn’t have enough pressure on the right side of where I apply makeup; which is why Beauty Blender is not exclusively for eyes (it can blend anything).
We want to create something that does all this wonderful stuff in a way that won’t break the bank or take up too much space in your kitchen shelf…something easy enough to slip into your purse or bag but stylish enough to show off when you want people to notice you with new eyes! And we want people to notice you with new eyes because we want them to see how awesome our product is! We want them to buy our product once they see how awesome it looks! We want people to buy our product because we think they should buy our product! We want them to buy our product because we think they should buy our product! Because someone else buys our product so often that they become addicted…because somebody else becomes addicted…because someone else becomes addicted…because someone else becomes addicted…because someone else becomes addicted…
Aesthetically pleasing and practical: that
4. To get started, find a mirror that will show you the back of your eyelid so you can see all angles at once
An eyeliner application tool that can do it all
I’ve heard this one so many times, I believe it’s a myth. I also think this myth is to blame for the very existence of beauty blender eyeliner application tool.
It’s a little known fact that even if you don’t have a mirror handy, you can still pull the eyeliner out of your lid and apply it yourself. Just hold the tool with one hand at an angle, and use your other hand to brush on the product into place.
This is important because if you are trying to apply eyeliner from memory (or have never seen what you’re doing), having to touch up every single stroke is likely to lose your mind. Using a product like this means you can do it just as well from memory; and in many cases, you will know exactly how much product needs to be applied before the darker shade disappears. Plus, there’s no chance of accidental spillage or mess-ups like those caused by blotchy or streaky eyeliner application tools that require you to use both hands and get everything right first time round (or at least trying with both hands).
