The sale is over. It is time to start thinking about what products you can buy in the spring.
You don’t need to be an expert on every single product out there; this will be enough for you to have an idea of what products are popular, why they are popular and how far they’ve come since your last shopping trip.

Now, let’s start looking at the top 10 products that would be most helpful – one could argue that any product that helps you look and feel great should be in the top 10 – and see how far each has come from when it was released a few years ago. In all honesty, these lists aren’t meant to be definitive; just a starting point for thinking about what products might be useful for where you live or work (or both). I think these are:
Text: The key thing here is that there is no one right way to find out what works best for your skin type. There are many alternative forms of testing available: skin sensitivity tests; consumer reviews on Amazon; and so on (in my opinion, consumer reviews from third parties like Goodreads or Amazon do not provide objective information). What matters more than anything else is whether or not the results support your hypothesis that a specific product will enhance your skin care routine (and if not, try something different). And if there is no such hypothesis, then use some other more holistic approach as outlined below. These tests could also help you turn your hypotheses into facts: test which shampoo does best for oily skin (shampoo manufacturers often do studies on their own shampoo ingredients); test which moisturizer lasts longest before it starts stripping away my moisture-giving oils; etc., etc., etc.. . . .
Another way of thinking about it is how much research goes into making these lists (it might look like they were made by one person), but they contain only a few ingredients and completely freeform approaches — so I have probably made more assumptions than necessary when creating them, but I thought it would still serve the purpose if we used them to start thinking about things beyond our own knowledge base!

Sephora Spring 2018 Makeup Trends
Sephora just announced the sale of a new range of makeup, in time for spring. With $50 off your first purchase, you have to get on this.
A couple things to note:
1. The price is only available for first-time customers. You can use promo code « for $20 off your first purchase, and the rest of your purchases will be at full price (after discounts). Check out their site to see if there’s any other coupons available.
2. This sale is only available online. If you’re already a Sephora shopper, you can order it in store through the online ordering system — they don’t seem to make it easy to order online by phone (that I could find). If you want it shipped directly to you, then that would also be an option (but then shipping costs will almost certainly be higher than when ordering in store).
3. Jagger products are not included in this sale (the sale is going on exclusively with Sephora). But if you do want them, there are some great deals at Jagger’s competitors: Kiss My Face and Just Cavalli . Use promo code « jagger » and get 50% off those brands too!
4. The prices listed here are just the basics – they don’t include any extras or packaging fees (like some other beauty brands may), so there might be a lot more savings that way too!
5. If you choose not to participate in this sale but would still like to buy cosmetics from Sephora, you can use promo code « comfy » for 25% off all orders from Feb 2nd through Feb 11th 2018 . You can also use promo code « big » for 10% off everything from February 2nd through February 11th . For example: if you order either price below $75 with comfy/big/big both active (you can easily change between them), then that means your total item cost will be $75 + an additional 25% discount = $82 + 10% = $90 …after discounts ?
Makeup Sets and Kits at the Sephora Spring 2018 Sale
Sephora is holding a sale on their online store beginning March 27, 2018. The sale will last two weeks, through April 3rd. I was lucky enough to score a few items for $28 each!
Every year, Sephora does a Spring Sale that lasts from February to March. This usually features higher-end cosmetics sets or kits at massive discounts, but this year the company has also brought back a makeup line called BECCA Cosmetics (which will be sold through the Sephora website only). This brand is well-known for it’s affordable and high quality makeup products, and it’s just perfect timing for those who want to try them out before the sale ends.
The sale is currently being held on their site (though you can check out some of the beauty products they have available at other retailers), so make sure you get there early. There are also some nice deals on their cosmetics in stores — but since they do not have a physical store in Canada, you’ll have to have them shipped to your address.
Skincare Sets and Kits at the Sephora Spring 2018 Sale
Although I am not a fan of skincare kits, I have to admit that a sephora sale is pretty good. There’s no way to know how well it will go until you actually go through with it, but it does give you some idea of the value of what you are buying.
In fact, I think the most interesting thing about this sale is that even though there are many skin care products included in the sale (and yes, it does include more than just makeup), there really aren’t any sales in skincare products. This is due in part to the high price points on many products (that make them more expensive to ship vs. costlier ones from other brands).

Haircare Kits and Sets at the Seph
I’ve been working with Garnier on a shampoo and conditioner kit for the past few months, and I thought I would share my experience with you. What we have decided to offer is a set of 4 high-quality products for $30 ($60 value). We’re going for “luxury” here, but if you want to save a few bucks and still get quality products, it’s worth it.

• 1 body wash bar (for travel) I think both of these should be included in any hair care kit, so don’t feel like you need to buy them separately. These are very light-duty products that are meant to be used daily. You can just throw them in your suitcase or beach bag and use them whenever you need it. There are also some other products like dry shampoo that I wouldn’t recommend buying separately because they can make hair look bad (like this one!) But we didn’t want people to have too many options, so the set is what we ended up offering. If there’s anything else you think would make someone happy, let us know! You can also add a specific leave-in treatment (like this one) or an oil serum if you’d prefer — just let us know when ordering, so we can make sure yours get added!
