So I signed up for Ipsy a few months ago and now that I’m back to blogging I wanted to share what I got this month. Sometimes the Ipsy boxes send out really early, but this one I received quite late. Since I live in Canada, the subscription works out being $20CAD. It’s $10US plus $5 shipping. I’ve tried several other subscription boxes before including Julep, Glymm (now discontinued) and TopBox.
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in ‘light/medium’
Ofra single pan eyeshadow/highlight in ‘Bliss’
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover
The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer
Manna Kandar Beauty Paradise Blush
I’ve been enjoying the variety of products I get to try with Ipsy and have been having fun with these. The Manna Kandar Blush is a pretty rosy shade and it is perfect to build up on the cheeks without being too bold. The Bahama Mana Bronzer is adorable in the sample booklet but comically tiny. I do really enjoy the shade however and find it similar to the pricier Nars Laguna Bronzer. I also liked the natural finish of the Smashbox BB Cream, but it was a few shades too dark for my current winter skin tone!
Overall my most favourite products from this month’s Ipsy bag were the Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover and the Ofra shadow. The makeup remover is super effective yet gentle and perfect for also removing lipstick without being overly drying. The Ofra Bliss Eyeshadow is a truly stunning lid shade that is ridiculously pigmented and rich. I found it superior to my favourite metallic Anastasia shadows. It definitely would be too metallic for a highlight, and I love a good highlight!
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got in my Ipsy box this month loves. Stay tuned for more beauty.
