1. Introduction

So, you want to know about the new 2016 products we have released in 2016? We would like to tell you a bit about them.

The term “buy now” doesn’t capture it, however. We want people to feel they can buy into the brand and be sure they will get a product which is of a quality and price which is commensurate with what they are getting.

In this way, we want to create a relationship between our customers and our products without being too obvious about it. As well as being a branding tool, our products should be used as an economic driver in the market place. We are not against buying used cars or second-hand goods; but we do think that if the person who has just bought one of our products is happy with it, then that person should be happy with us.

We also think that if someone wants to buy from us, that person should be able to find out more information about us (like pricing) before making any decision – not only because consumer protection laws forbid us from telling people what we have for sale, but also because doing so would give away too much information about ourselves.

It is only by understanding our product better than anyone else (and by never being too obvious about it) that you can truly understand how we work and make money in this industry; and understanding how others do make money will help you do so too!

2. How to buy a car in 20 steps

In February 2016, Valuation Labs was one of the first companies to launch a car-buying service, called Vib Sale. It garnered much attention at the time, but it hasn’t been able to make a profit since its launch.

In early 2017, we launched another car-buying service, called Vib Buy. It has proven to be wildly popular and generated an estimated $2 million in sales in just two weeks (and made Valuation Labs a few million dollars).

Our goal for this post is two-fold: 1) share some practical information that you can use to figure out how to buy a car in 20 steps; and 2) show you how we did it. We don’t claim that we have solved any particular problem: indeed, there are dozens of different approaches which could be useful for driving sales, including valuing cars and making offers on behalf of buyers. We are merely presenting some tools that we have found to be helpful when trying to get our own cars sold.

3. What should I buy a new car for?

There is a saying that’s been going around for a while: “if you’re not paying for it, you’re the one driving.” This is true in every aspect of your life. You shouldn’t have to choose between buying a car or something else that matters to you when your car is out of service. Especially if your car (and your personal finances) depend on it.

The 2016 Vib Sale runs from November 18th to December 3rd and offers an amazing opportunity to stock up on all sorts of stuff, including but not limited to the following: new tires, new batteries, new hoses, new fender vents, new headlights, etc. However, one thing is missing — any kind of insurance. Your Vib Sale insurance doesn’t cover you should anything happen to your car during the sale period. The good news is that there are several providers who specialize in this and will ensure everything goes smoothly during the sale (e.g., we recommend AIG). Best of luck!

4. How to compare different cars?

What has the year been like for you? Did you enjoy it? Did you feel that it was worth the money? Did you have time to drive around and enjoy it? Have any plans for next year’s vib sale?

The most common questions I get asked are:

• “How much did the 2016 vib sale cost?”

• “If I bought a used car, would I beat the price of a new one in the used car market?”

These questions refer to how much they think they should pay before they buy a new car. They are not asking how much they might be able to get away with buying a used car. If you are going to be able to buy a new car, then sure, go ahead and pay more. But if you want to buy something that will last longer (and therefore save money), then spend less. There is no use in spending $15,000 on something that will only last you 6 months and is likely to break down on the first day of use.

I know some people who have bought their cars for $1k+ (they actually bought them for about $5k) but this is a special case. Other people have bought their cars for about $30k or even more (totaling about $120,000 or more). The difference here is simple: buying used saved them money and buying new saved them time and effort. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t compare cars — just that it isn’t always better than buying secondhand.

5. How to choose the best brand?

There is a lot of research on the subject of brand positioning and it can be hard to figure out what makes most sense for your particular company. I believe that if you really have a great product, it doesn’t matter as much if you choose a great brand name or not. The main thing that matters is your product and its value proposition so whatever name you choose, will be working towards fulfilling that promise.

Now, one way of thinking about brands is to think in terms of perceived value (value) and the perceived utility (value). People are more likely to perceive a brand as desirable if it has value (and utility) than if it looks good. If there is no value in the product or service, then people won’t feel as though they are paying for it. So, how do you get people to use your product/service? You need to convince them they want to use it and they want to pay for it rather than just want something out of the box like Apple or Microsoft.

One way of doing this is by creating differentiation through differentiating features and functionality. You need to make sure that the key differences between your product/service include:

• Differentiator: The main difference between your product/service and others in your market is likely going to be what makes it unique — which feature or functionality does not exist in other products. If you can identify a difference between yourself and other products in any market there will be demand for your product/service.

• Functional Differentiation: The differentiator should also describe how you want people using or using with their device(s), e.g., “We design our computer with an eye toward getting work done quickly without having to constantly re-type passwords” means that we want users from all over the world able to type passwords into our computers using an international keyboard without having to learn local characters and look up spellings; we don’t simply want usernames but instead we want users with multiple computers on the same network able to have one user account on each; we do not just want mobile devices but instead we design our mobile phones so that when users are away from their phone they can still make calls without worrying about losing their contact information; etc…

• Product Design Differentiation: There may be multiple ways of doing something but only one way will get results — there should be a clear difference between what you are offering versus what someone else offers

6. How to check if the car is a fake?

Do you know what is the best way to check if a car is a fake?

If you want to buy a new car, there are two ways to go: 1) you can do a site search and get an estimate based on the cost of buying new cars in your area. This is called the “coupon code” method. 2) you can contact the manufacturer who will sell it to you at no extra charge (also known as “the direct seller” method).

Both of these methods have their pros and cons. The problem with coupons for example, is that they don’t tell about any flaws or known defects in the vehicle. All they say is that this particular model was sold through this dealership or that one in another state.

The second method, calling manufacturers directly, gives up some of the efficiency of the second method but also comes with some risks: first off, by doing so you are giving them your personal information which could be used against you (make sure you take all necessary precautions with regard for privacy). Furthermore, if something goes wrong (such as a design flaw) it could lead to legal problems and/or significant financial losses which could be extremely difficult to recover from (you don’t want that!).

7. How to get the best discount?

It’s been a couple of years since we launched our 2016 Vib sale campaign. It was a huge success, and we would like to do it again — but there are a few things we had to consider.

We have to give the credit where credit is due: the original idea came from our strategic partner, Sussan Karamoh. We originally thought of launching our own vib sale in 2015 and then found out that she had already started one for her company. So we decided to take advantage of her experience and build something that is similar, but also different. We will be doing this once every year, so it was important for us not only to do it well, but also keep the price affordable.

In addition to this, we had some new challenges:

• We did not get enough traction among users in the first place (which doesn’t mean that we should stop working on it) — we always aim for social proof and user engagement!

• Our budget was tight as well (and this means that every cent counts).
