2. What is Red Lipstick?
Red lipstick is a staple of many high-end salons. It’s the only lipstick that’s been around since the 1960s and its sole purpose is to make women look like them – and make men think they’re hot.
The idea behind red lipstick is simple: it gives women more confidence, sexiness and femininity, as well as making men think you’re not just a girl but a woman. The trouble with red lipstick is that it takes too much work to get that effect, even if you do wear it carefully.
Mac von Teese has resurrected the red lipstick trend by taking it in a new direction, one which doesn’t take much effort but does require lots of imagination (which she does very well):
Red Lipstick – A Mind-Boggling Invention That Could Change How Women Look
By Mac von Teese . . . I’m thrilled to announce our newest color collection, Red Lipstick! This bold new collection of lipsticks includes bright red shades that are perfect for daytime wear — or at least when you’re trying to look your best. We’ve put together an entire wardrobe of must-have colors, highlighting something we all have in common: bold colours and vibrant shadows! And let’s face it: we all want to look our best at all times. This bold collection is great for every day or special occasion: when you’re going out with your friends or colleagues; while on vacation; while traveling on business; or anytime you feel like looking your best!
Mac has created three different collections based on the same theme: “bold colors and vibrant shadows”. Like Mardi Gras beads? You can also add glittery accents such as sequins and jewels by way of the Red Lipstick Collection “Beaded” collection (featuring 18 stunning shades). A little bit about what’s included in each of these collections… Start with Red Lipstick Collection #1: Bold Colors & Vibrant Shadows – 18 bold matte shades from champagne to burgundy, perfect for daytime wear. All 18 shades are long-wearing – up to 14 hours without reapplication. Try some pinky copper “I’ll Show You” ($24), shimmering burgundy “Cheeky Blush” ($24), rosy creamy blush shade “Raspberry Fuchsia” ($24), and sheer chocolate brown “My Favorite Thing About You” ($24). For extra color pop try Rose Gold
3. The History of Red Lipstick
Recently I saw a mac von teese red lipstick commercial with the tagline “We love our reds”, and I was intrigued. So, I did some research and this is what I found out:
Mac cosmetics are manufactured in China by a company called Chanel Wanda. The company’s founder is a man named Christian Dior, who was born in 1865. His grandfather was a tailor who started his own shop in Paris. Dior’s father died when he was 5 years old, and he went to live with an uncle in France. He studied philosophy at the Sorbonne, but did not complete his degree because of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71. He then pursued his interest in fashion design and became involved with couture.
In 1886 he opened an import factory and began selling ready-to-wear clothes to other top Parisian designers such as Claudine Vionnet and Coco Chanel (who were also close friends). In 1898 he married Madeleine Vionnet, who would eventually become famous under her own name (and launched Chanel No 5). Their son Philippe co-founded the fashion house along with other colleagues including Jacques Fathier (who would go on to start the Balenciaga brand), Pierre Cardin, Roger Roux and others.
During World War 1 Dior was drafted into military service as a pilot. When his plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean it took off all their clothes, so he wore nothing but shorts for 6 months! The incident made him extremely popular among women for once!
After the war Dior returned to his high quality clothes business, which soon included making ready-to-wear coats for top European designers such as Van Johnson and Coco Chanel. In 1925 Dior launched another clothing line called Ligne de Ville (the first time a French designer had done so). This line became very popular within a few years and by 1930 had become one of the hottest trends in Parisian fashion – Chanel even sent photographers around the world to document its design innovations. In 1933 Dior launched himself as an independent designer — though this before becoming an entrepreneur through partnership with others like L’Oréal (which he sold in 1938). He initially partnered with Fathier again to create new designs but later abandoned them after two years because they didn’t offer enough variety or innovation (he also disliked how Fathier’s designs were too closely related
4. Fashion and Makeup Tips for Wearing Red Lipstick
There is a very good article on Red Lips at the Huffington Post. The author shows that wearing red lipstick can make you look younger, more energetic, and more attractive.
This is not just an article to be read for its humor; there are many things we can do to improve our appearance and feel better about ourselves — whether that’s by having a healthier diet, feeling less stressed, or looking better in general.
There are several reasons why women are drawn to red lipstick: it’s fun and provocative, it tells people you’re a strong woman (which is important for career success), it makes your skin look more fair (which is important for health), it looks bolder than pink or white (which are the traditional colors of high-end makeup), and it looks good with blue eyeshadow.
But what if you know you don’t have the money (or time) to buy expensive makeup? What if you don’t like wearing heavy eye shadow? What if you don’t have time to go to the store? What if your mom already bought all your favorite lipsticks? Nonetheless, red lipstick still offers some advantages (and sometimes even disadvantages) when trying not to spend money on makeup:
• You won’t spend hours getting ready before going out — but there will be fewer mistakes.
• You’ll look better — because no one else will notice!
• You’ll feel more confident because no one else will judge your beauty choices!
The above may sound great on paper but let’s take into consideration many different factors such as budgeting time and budgeting money: Would you rather spend $300 on makeup or $300 on groceries? If so, would it be worth spending more time preparing for a night out when you only have $300 left in your wallet? If so, why do we have so many parties where everyone wears makeup but where they also eat out every week? Do we really need that much money anyway?! But let’s go back to the “why” of this post: It’s not just about saving money – It’s about seeing yourself as someone who can afford that fancy stuff every once in a while! Let’s get back to red lipstick for a minute. Why would someone want to dress up in a shade of purple when everyone already knows that purple is ugly?! I mean sure purple might look good with certain trends – like vintage or grunge – but I don’t
5. Tips on Creating Your Own Look with Red Lipsticks
This is not a sponsored post, but I thought I’d add my two cents to an already very popular topic. Since the first time I saw mac vue teese red lipstick in a store (I believe it was at Sephora), I have been waiting for the day that they would actually make it on their website (which has not happened yet).
I haven’t bought mac lipstick in 20 years, and while I still love the brand and their products, there are just so many good alternatives out there. While some of them are slightly more expensive, it is well worth it to me to buy a good lipstick online. While buying online can be a bit of a hassle if you don’t have tons of time (if you don’t want to go to the mall with your kids), here are some tips that I think will help you get what you want:
1) Look carefully at the ingredients list on the website.
2) It is always best to read product description before buying anything.
3) Make sure all the ingredients are listed out for you, especially for any fragrances or colorants that might be present in the product (this really matters).
4) If possible, try other brands besides MAC. Buying from other companies will give you more choices and may provide better quality products.
5) Don’t expect everything to be cheap; buy something high-quality but not too expensive since every penny counts when shopping online!>
6. Conclusion
This post is the first in a series of posts that I am going to be writing about Mac OS X. As a result, I’ll be using very little in depth technical detail for comparison sake. Instead, I’ll just discuss how the development tools and tools available to developers make it possible to create sophisticated and highly useful applications on Mac OS X.
It’s important to note that this is not an exhaustive list of all the things developers can do with Mac OS X — there are plenty of other tools out there that can make Mac-specific things easier (some of them are even integrated into our own apps). It is however a very good start for getting started: with a focus on these four areas, you’ll be able to create interesting and useful applications quickly, both as a developer and as an end user.
This post will have some technical parts, but it should be easy enough for non-technical people to understand my explanations and enjoyment of the subject matter. If nothing else, you will probably learn something new while learning something else…
