I’ve noticed influencers like James Welsh raving about Versed Skincare so I decided to pick up a few products to review. In this post, I’ll be reviewing the Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream and the Versed Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser.

Versed Skincare claims to be the ‘cleanest drugstore brand’. They are all about sustainable, clean ingredients with an affordable price point. Their Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser balances, calms and gently cleanses the skin and comes with a pump for ease of use. The product is about $20CAD and you get 5oz/150ml of product. The cleanser is formulated with colloidal oatmeal oat milk, marula oil, probiotics, grapeseed and blackberry vinegar to deliver fatty acids and help the skins moisture barrier.

The Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream is formulated with Squalane, Red Algae (one of my fave anti-agers), Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. The product is about $24CAD for 1.5oz/43g of product.

The Versed Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser comes in an attractive pink bottle and indeed does have a milky, (but not runny) consistency. I find this cleanser is great on naked skin or minimal makeup, but for full-glam it’s too gentle. I’d recommend first using a cleansing balm and then this cleanser if you do have a full face of makeup. Otherwise, I found my mascara leaving racoon eyes and foundation still on the skin.

If you have dry or sensitive skin, the Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser would be a great option for you as it leaves the skin feeling moisturized. However, I don’t love the smell. It’s hard to describe but it definitely has a strong oatmeal scent. Personally, I only use this cleanser in combination with a cleansing balm or if I’m cleansing my bare face in the morning.

Rating: 3/5.

The Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream is indeed, rich. I definitely like to let in soak in for at least 20-30 minutes before laying down. I wouldn’t recommend this cream as a day cream in the summer or hot climates as it will not be comfortable, however it’s a fantastic night cream. Once it does absorb, you’re good to go and there’s no layer of product left on the skin.

The scent of this product is very minimal and frankly nonexistent. For this reason, it would be ideal for anyone with dry or sensitive skin! I also love the pink packaging, it’s fun to have on my counter. The value is also fantastic, at under $25, this cream will likely last you 3 months. The Skin Soak Moisture Cream also contains red algae, which is a highly effective anti-aging product often only found in Korean skincare.

Rating: 4.5/5.

I won’t be repurchasing the Gentle Cycle Milky Cleanser as I don’t love the strong scent of oatmeal, and the cleanser isn’t effective at removing my makeup. It’s nice to use on bare skin, but I prefer a cleanser with more performance.

The Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream is a really great discovery- packing moisturizing and anti-aging superstars HA, Red Algae, Squalane and Vitamin E in a solid cream for a great price. Highly recommend! Get the cream here.
