Intro

nyx contour toffee is a moisturizing, soothing, and cooling facial lotion. It helps soothe sensitive skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by replenishing moisture and minimizing redness. nyx contour toffee is formulated with pure ingredients that are gentle on your skin. Made in the USA.

How would you describe nyx contour toffee?

The answer will depend on who you are talking to, but notice that the product description is not very specific. The product description seems to be just a generic description of what nyx contour toffee does: moisturizes, soothes, cools, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and soothes sensitive skin. It’s not very specific or even detailed; it’s just a list of features like moisturizing or cooling or soothing or reducing fine lines or wrinkles; but not specifically describing what it does for each one of those features (i.e., how does it do them?).

We think this is a good thing because “essentially usable” products are hard for marketers to sell because they generally require more “extra-ordinary” features than their competitors do—it takes more time and effort from marketers to develop products aligned with what people want instead of trying to build something new which they think they want (which is an inherently expensive process).

This doesn’t mean that marketers needn’t try harder at this—there are plenty of marketing examples where people have succeeded even when they did not explicitly attempt speaking directly about what their product did—but it means that marketing professionals should make sure they have products which can appeal broadly enough (i.e., preventatively) without requiring too many extra-ordinary features which might not be useful in all situations.

Nyx Cosmetics Contour Stick toffee Review

Do you want to know a secret? You’re probably not supposed to know.

But if we’re going to stay in business, we might as well tell the truth. Because who knows, maybe you’ll learn something about yourself. If so, you deserve it.

So although I can’t tell you what this product does for your face, I can tell you why I love it so much that I had to write a full-length review of it for my own benefit…

I started using Nyx Cosmetics Contour Stick Color in Toffee a few months ago and have been very happy with the results. However, I didn’t write this post to tell you why — because the page on Nyx Cosmetics Contour Stick Color is right here on Product Hunt! — but rather because it has become an increasingly important thing for me to talk about because of the way social media works now: a lot of people are using these products and their reviews are incredibly important and influential in how others decide whether or not they should buy from Nyx. This is why I wrote this post; this is one of those rare occasions where it was worth writing an entire post about a product and not just telling people what it does (and I hope they will read and enjoy this piece).

Nyx Cosmetics Contour Stick toffee Swatches

Nyx Cosmetics is a brand I’ve been following for a while now. They have recently launched new toffee contour sticks. These are extremely cool: they allow you to capture the contour of your face with the help of a stick and apply it on your cheekbones or any other facial features in order to create a 3D effect.

They were also recently acquired by Nyx, which seems like a pretty interesting move given the stark difference in marketing channels (the one-page website vs the app). I think this product can be great for people who want to do an on-the-go “facial” look, but don’t want to invest in an expensive professional-grade makeup artist (which will likely be highly out of pocket) or don’t want to deal with setting up an actual studio.

I own one of these contour sticks and I love how it feels and how my skin responds to them (even when it is just a little too cold outside). It is also very easy to use: you just need two fingers to apply it, blend it into your skin and then go about your day as normal.

You should also know that Nyx has had another acquisition as well: their lipsticks were bought by Caudalie which is expanding its beauty portfolio from makeup brands like Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and Juicy Couture (good for them!). This acquisition doesn’t seem fair given that Nyx still has some well known brands like Huda Beauty and Anastasia Beverly Hills, but we shall see what happens!

Nyx Cosmetics contour stick toffee and Mac contour pro comparison

I was inspired to write this post right after I finished my Mac contour pro. I knew I wanted to chronicle my journey and share it with you, in the hopes that you might benefit from it as well. The purpose of this post is not to teach you how to do your own makeup, but rather how I did mine.

I was struck by how similar the two products were in terms of the recipe — there wasn’t much difference between them (except for the color) — and thought that maybe there are some things that some people can learn from one product versus the other. Ultimately, however, you have to think about your own personal tastes and preferences when it comes time to choose a palette for your specific face shape: (1) is this a contour palette or a more traditional makeup palette?; (2) do you like dry powders or liquid creams?; (3) do you prefer super-rich or very smooth finishes?; and so on.

After that, it really comes down to personal preference: what will work best for your particular skin type/appearance? Ultimately I decided on my Mac contour pro because of its very sharp, professional finish along with its almost-unnoticeable color shift in comparison with other brands’ lighter finishes. If you’re an artist/geek/etc. who likes a softer finish + super-rich pigment density then perhaps another brand’s contour stick would be more suitable than yours — but if you’re looking for something more affordable + less noticeable then go with a contour stick like Nyx’s Contour Toffee Toffee or one of their Macs!

I hope this helped some of y’all out there who are new at this whole MLM thing! Also don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @yung_fang_rocks! ______________________________________________ Tweet This Post Email This Post

Nyx Cosmetics contour stick toffee and Bobbi brown contour comparison

Nyx has a very well-known and extensively used product, the contour stick. It is for a reason: it’s great. The stick is designed to provide the user with very high levels of contouring power in a single application — and it does this beautifully. It’s also cheap enough that the average person can afford it, and thus the majority of Nyx users (who are hard-core contouring people) do not need a separate product to complement their Nyx stick.

But some people just want a different kind of contour stick: one which contains an additional skin enhancer in an easy-to-use package. This is where Bobbi Brown’s brown stick comes in:

The Contour Stick from Bobbi Brown.

Many would consider this product to be overpriced ($5 more expensive than Nyx). But I think that’s totally wrong. In fact, I think this is one of the best values on the market right now, with three key advantages over other products:

• It provides more concentrated coverage (because you apply less product), which makes it easier to blend under the eyes

• It is more convenient to use, because you don’t have to remember or find ingredients and don’t have to prepare your own eyeshadow base mix

I really love how well Bobbi Brown has done with their formula — but I also believe that there are other excellent formulas out there (and I write about them here) — and for those who want exactly what Bobbi Brown offers, they can buy their own kit at $26 each and make their own makeup at home, as we all should! 🙂

The nyx contour toffee is a dense, delicious and completely unique confection — the perfect way to start your day.

It’s called a “toffee” because it’s a bright and golden confection. But it’s not simply a sweet; the toffee is flavoured with corn syrup and has a crunchy texture that lends itself beautifully to the conical shape of its companion.

The result is an edible, delicious and just plain satisfying breakfast treat. It’s also great for sharing with friends, or as an after-dinner snack for someone you know who will be gone for some time. It doesn’t get much easier than that.

The nyx contour toffee is designed by Owen Hill, who wanted to create something that would make people smile — something which would bring out the joy in even the most cynical of people. The idea was inspired by how those around him were always pleased to see him happy — especially his wife, Kate (who loves chocolate – so much so that she has her own line of chocolates). So they came up with the nyx contour toffee as a gift idea for their own happiness.
