Sephora Sample Heaven: A mini review

Hi dolls!

I’m sure you all know by now about the promotional sample bags that Sephora offers online only. It’s a perk that motivates me to shop online more especially if I’m going to be spending enough to hit free shipping. Because who doesn’t like a bag full of free samples from deluxe brands?? When you shop in store they usually only throw in one or two pre-selected samples- way less fun. I got this simply by entering a code I found when I clicked on the “promotions” part of the site.

Here are the samples I got a few weeks ago from my order!

I got the red makeup pouch full of 8 samples, and the other three on the left are ones I chose. So was anything good? YES!* Was anything only so-so? Yes.

*Benefit Stay Flawless Primer: A mini stick of primer that is super easy to apply. The tiny sample size wasn’t ideal but I liked the overall packaging of a stick vs. a jar of primer.

*Living Proof Satin Hair Serum: Apply onto damp hair and blow dry. I liked the results so far- my hair was thicker and soft.

*Fresh Seaberry Face Oil: Really enjoying using this face oil- it’s a blend of oils and a little goes a long way. Definitely a great sized sample.

Glamglow Powermud Mask: These are soo expensive so it was nice to try one for free! I didn’t notice a huge difference though.

Laura Mercier Flawless Face Polish: a nice exfoliating cleanser.

Cover FX Calming Primer: I didn’t notice any “calming”.

Lancome Youth Activating Concentrate: Luxury powerhouse Lancome charges a pretty penny for this stuff. Unfortunately with only one use its hard to report on results.

Nude Perfect Cleanse: I haven’t had the chance to try this yet but I like the concept of an omega 6 and 9 cleanser with few chemicals.

Jurlique Purely Bright Radiance Serum: Dislike. My face just felt so tight!!

Agave Oil Treatment (for hair): This made my hair feel soft but no more than my regular conditioner.

*Marc Jacobs Daisy: I simply love this scent which is why I chose the sample. It’s clean and fresh and so unique.

I still love shopping in-store but I don’t mind waiting for an order if I’m going to get all these. This was obviously a promotion and they don’t always offer this many samples, but keep your eyes open and if you’re ordering online, always enter a code for something! You’re guaranteed to get a free deluxe sample 🙂

  1. I loved this sample bag! I also ordered the other one with the lipsticks too. Nothing encourages me more to spend money than a good free sample bag. Sephora has not been on their game these past weeks but I did place an order yesterday and got the Refresher bag with all the skincare, hopefully they are all as good as this one was 🙂 Janet

    1. I agree! It’s bad but if I’m getting more free things I’ll be more inclined to shop. I wish they were better about samples in store as well because I don’t always want to spend $75 just to get the free shipping! Have fun with those samples 🙂
